Damn right you want some Folgers®. Here's where you can find it. Folgers Coffee is available at most grocery stores, drug stores and big-box retailers. It is up to the stores or their suppliers to decide which brands and quantities to carry, meaning the entire line of Folgers Coffee might not be available at each location.
We can't blame you for wanting to keep your Folgers coffee fresh. Check the best before date on your Folgers package and store it in a cool, dry place. Coffee used beyond its best before date is safe, but we can't guarantee the same quality. And for us, quality is everything.
We recommend adding 2 tablespoons of ground coffee (for most products) per 250ml of fresh, cold water.
Also, it is best to clean your coffee maker regularly. We work tirelessly to provide you with a world-class cup of coffee and you wouldn't want to let a dirty coffee maker spoil it for you, would you?
Check out your coffeemaker's manual for cleaning instructions. If they're missing, you can use distilled white vinegar for cleaning your coffeemaker. Fill the water reservoir with vinegar and run it through the brewing cycle once. Then, rinse the coffeemaker thoroughly with two cycles of plain water.
Here are some additional tips to help you get the perfect cup of coffee:
Properly storing your Folgers® Coffee will help you preserve The Best Part of Wakin' Up®. We recommend storing Folgers Ground Coffee in a cool, dark place with the lid tightly closed.
Oh no. This is a tragedy. Let's break down what might have gone wrong:
Did you leave your brewed coffee on the heating element too long? If not consumed in 15 minutes, we recommend keeping brewed coffee in a thermal container.
The grind level may also not match your brewing method, for instance coffee ground for automatic drip used in a percolator might taste bitter.
Additionally, The coffee may have gone stale after purchase or might not have been stored in an airtight container.
Please refer to "How to Recycle" information on product pages.
It's absolutely safe to use. Your container of Folgers® Coffee might have been packaged under higher-than usual pressure. This can happen when coffee is packed fresh, causing the protective seal to expand. It will still have that wonderful Folgers flavour and aroma.
Here are some helpful tips for opening the container:
As with any vacuumed product, hold it away from your eyes. Prick the inner seal with the tip of a knife and you'll hear a "whoosh" sound. Wait a few seconds for that sound to stop, and then continue opening. Enjoy!
We use ethyl acetate direct process - we begin by steaming the beans, which draws the caffeine to the surface; ethyl acetate is then added to the beans to extract the caffeine. After the caffeine is removed, we steam the beans again, and then we're ready for roasting.
We are not "certified gluten free" but our coffee does not contain gluten. Because no coffee contains gluten. :)
It looks damn good doesn't it? Folgers® 1850™ is our 100% Premium Arabica offering. We decked it out in a new wardrobe to match the rest of the Folgers Family. Simply put, it's a new look with the same great taste you love.
After 170 years' worth of making great coffee, we've developed a unique, proprietary process that allows us to make the most out of each coffee bean.
We're now able to craft coffee with the same great taste you love, measuring and brewing the same way you already do. The difference is that the same volume of grounds now weighs less.
This new, more efficient roasting technology will reduce the greenhouse gas emissions needed to produce one canister of Folgers Classic Roast coffee by 12%.*
*Based on a life cycle assessment of 1 canister of Folgers Classic Roast coffee, including cultivation, packaging, roasting, distribution, coffee brewing and end of life treatment. This assessment was based on anticipated total US and Canadian shipments beginning April 2022 and was completed according to the principles of the ISO 14040 standard.
If you care about taste and quality as much as we do, don't reuse or reheat leftover coffee. Just don't. It won't taste the same. Ditto for used coffee filters.
Because damn good coffee deserves damn good packaging.
